Push pull connectors successfully prevent accidental disconnection by using a robust self-locking mechanism that allows the connector to be matched by pushing the plug into the socket. However, simply pulling the connection cannot be disconnected.
Instead, the connector body must be squeezed when pulling in order to successfully disconnect. Unlike connectors that use standard thread or bayonet locking systems, push-pull connectors require only axial force to fit and cancel the fit, rather than traditional rotational force. The result is a simple but powerful locking mechanism.
